EFOA presented at recent industry events (ERTC and Platts Ethanol in April 2008, World Refining & Fuels in May 2008) the results of 2 studies evaluating the CO2 footprint of manufacturing ETBE.

These studies compare the usage of ETBE to ethanol in gasoline and concluded that ETBE offered an energy efficiency gain in the refinery which was important when considering the greenhouse gas balance for ETBE
