What is EFOA
EFOA, the European Fuel Oxygenates Association, was founded in 1985 by European producers of MTBE, the most widely used fuel oxygenate.
EFOA comprises companies having their own production of fuel oxygenates in at least one Western European country. It is open to associate members having an interest in the production or the use of fuel oxygenates.
EFOA has 11 members: Ecofuel/ENI Group (IT), Evonik Oxeno (DE), Hellenic Petroleum (GR), Lukoil Neftochim Bourgas (BG), LyondellBasell Industries (NL), Neste Oil (FI), Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen (PL), Repsol YPF (E), Sabic Europe (NL), Saras (IT) and Total (F). Together, EFOA members represent the majority of the EU fuel ether production capacity.
EFOA is a sector group of Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council.
